Terms & Conditions
RATES
All guests must be 21 years of age to make a reservation. Failure to provide the proper I.D. upon arrival will result in loss of room and loss of deposit. Rates as shown or quoted over the phone are based on per night double occupancy and are subject to Rhode Island’s 7% sales tax, 1% local tax and 6% lodging tax. Availability and rates for specific dates can be viewed directly on our website.
DEPOSIT
All bookings will require 100% deposit at the time of booking reservation regardless of peak or non-peak season.
ADDITIONAL PERSONS
All rooms have a king sized bed and can accommodate up to two persons. Two additional people may be accommodated in King Suites, for an additional charge of $50 per person/per night. All reservations with 3 or more guests must be made and accompanied by an adult of 25 years or older. Our online booking system will allow you to enter 4 guests when reserving this room. Children of all ages do qualify as guests. For assistance with making a reservation for three or four people, please give us a call. We understand that hotel guests can and do have friends or family in the area. Our guest floors and pool area are for hotel guests only. The lobby and restaurants are designated public spaces for our hotel guests and their guests to enjoy.
CHILDREN
The Break welcomes well-behaved children of all ages. Children of all ages do qualify as guests and require additional persons fee as stated above. All children must be staying with and accompanied by an adult of 25 years or older. Our King Suites can comfortably accommodate up to four people, while occupancy in other rooms must be limited to two people of any age. At this time, we are not able to provide any cribs or pack ‘n plays.
PEACE & QUIET
The Break Hotel encourages a safe, relaxing, and peaceful environment. We ask our guests to mind this especially after 10pm. In the event of a noise disturbance or complaint from another guest, the Break Hotel reserves the right to ask for your departure from the property without refund. Any guest compensation the hotel must make due to such an issue will be charged to your account.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES
Check-in is between 3:00 and 9:00 pm, unless prior arrangements have been made. If you are going to be delayed past 9:00 pm, please contact the hotel via stay@thebreakhotel.com or call our toll-free number (855-559-3001) so that we can make the proper arrangements to suit your needs. Check-out time is 11:00 am. Failure to check out at the appropriate time will result in a $150 fee.
PARKING
The Break Hotel offers complimentary parking for hotel guests from 3:00 pm on check in day until 11:00 am on check out day.
WE ARE A SMOKE & ANIMAL FREE HOTEL
The Break is an animal free and 100% non-smoking property including balconies and outdoor areas. A minimum cleaning surcharge of $250 will be imposed to any room where guests have perceived to have a pet or smoking with disregard for our policy.
GUEST RESPONSIBILITY
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to negligence and authorize management to charge credit card on file.
WAVES SPA
Relax and enjoy our wonderful micro spa during your stay. Advance booking for treatments is required.
Cancellation Policies
The Break Hotel is a boutique property where every guest is both important and special to us. Because of the small size of our hotel, cancellations affect both the hotel and our guests significantly. To better help us host our guests, our cancellation policy changes with the seasons of Narragansett. The Break Hotel was designed to be a beacon in the community and withstand any weather conditions including severe storms, state of emergencies, and acts of god. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for peace of mind. The Break Hotel will be happy to supply your travel insurance company with any needed documentation regarding our policy and your reservation. For insurance information please visit InsureMyTrip (http://insuremytrip.com). For group reservations (4 rooms or more) please refer to our group contract.
Peak Season: May 1st-October 15th & off Season Holiday Periods:
- 100% deposit is required for all reservations
- Any changes to a reservation or **cancellation(for any reason) prior to 30 days of arrival, will result in a 10% fee.
- In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 30 days notice, the deposit is non refundable. You are always welcome to send a friend or family member in your place.
- We do offer a one time *“change of date option” where your deposit will be held as a credit to a future stay.
- Inside of 30 days: 80% of deposit goes towards future stay
- Inside of 10 days: 50% of deposit goes towards future stay (less entire first night + tax )
- Inside of 24 hours: 100% of deposit is non-refundable
- Any reservation that does not arrive on their scheduled arrival date will be considered a no show if the hotel is not contacted by 10am of the following day. In this case the full deposit is non refundable.
Off Season October: 16th-April 30th (Excluding Holiday Periods):
- 100% deposit is required for all reservations
- Any changes to a reservation or **cancellation (for any reason) prior to 15 days of arrival will result in a 10% fee.
- In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 15 days notice, the deposit is non refundable. You are always welcome to send a friend or family member in your place.
- We do offer a one time *“change of date option” where your deposit will be held as a credit to a future stay.
- Inside of 15 days: 80% of deposit it goes towards future stay
- Inside of 5 days: 50% of deposit goes towards future stay ( less entire first night + tax)
- Inside of 24 hours: 100% of deposit is non-refundable
- Any reservation that does not arrive on their scheduled arrival date will be considered a no show if the hotel is not contacted by 10am of the following day. In this case the full deposit is non refundable.
*All change of dates must be completed by end of each calendar year or funds will be forfeited.
**All cancellations or changes to a reservation must be made via email and confirmed.
After check-in, a shortening of a stay will remain charged in full per the original reservation.
